Alvin Features: Awning

The Trakka camper vans come with a Fiamma wind-out awning, which is very useful on wet and sunny days, so it covers most of the time! It winds out a long way. You can either attach the supports to the side of the van, or stand it on the ground using the leg supports.

We normally wound the awning in to a short distance when it was raining heavily or very windy, to avoid any damage that may have been caused. If you do not have it at the right angle, water can pool on the canvas and cause it to sag. One time this caused a rivet to pop from the front support. Luckily this was easily fixed, but now we are extra careful when it rains.
