Located just off the Stuart Highway, this small town is mostly visited for its historic pub, reputedly the oldest in the NT.
Places to see and things to do
- visit the historic pub, decorated inside with quirky things left behind by previous tourists, such as t-shirts, bras, coins and banknotes form around the world.
- have a huge beef and barra meal at the pub
- camp in the busy caravan park next to the pub
- see the Stuart Tree, a dead tree trunk with the letter 'S' carved in it, reputedly by Stuart himself or on of his party, when they passed through here on their across Australia journey
