Lake Tinaroo

Lake Tinaroo is a man made lake in the Atherton Tablelands, not far from Tolga. The Danbulla Forest Drive takes you to many campsites aorund the lake.
Places to see and things to do
- Camping - we stopped at the Downfall Creek camping area, there are a few others situated on the banks of the lake such as Platypus Rock. You will need to pre-book with Queensland National Parks.
- fishing - there are Barramundi in the lake, and Red-Claw can also be found. The world record barramundi was caught here - 38.7 kg!
- water skiing is a popular pastime on the lake, and other waterspors such as canoeing and sailboarding.
- take a short walk to the Mobo Crate.
- Along the Danbulla Forest Drive is the Cathedral Fig Tree
