Why Go:
- most Tasmanian tourists will pass through here on the way to Port Arthur, though it is worth a short stop.
Highlights:
- Officers Quarters Historic Site: one of the oldest buildings still standing in Australia
- Dog Line: a statue marks the place where the infamous convict 'Dog Line' of a line of savage dogs was placed across the narrow peninsula, to prevent any run-away convicts escaping.
- Tessellated Pavement
- Tasman Blowhole
