Cairns International Airport, Cairns, Queensland, Australia
Cairns Airport is located 8 km north of the city centre. There are two terminals, Domestic and International. There is a covered walkway connecting the two terminals, which takes about 5 minutes to walk between (There is also a shuttle bus that costs $4 per person).
Getting There and away
Taxi: In the arrival hall you will find free taxi telephones. There are also taxi ranks outside of the arrival areas. The average fare into Cairns city is $15
Hire Cars: There are car hire services located at both terminals. Limousines can pick up and drop you at the airport if it is arranged in advance.
Public Transport: There is no public transport to and from the airport.
Private Buses and Shuttles: There is a shuttle bus that connects between the two terminals, costing $4 per person. There are a couple of companies that provide coach buses to other parts of Northern Queensland.
