Airport Guide: Penang

Most people arriving at Penang Airport on the island of Penang in Malaysia, are heading to George Town or the beach resort to the north of it. You can catch a bus, which is very cheap and easy to do (except it will not take you directly where you wish to go), or a taxi can be taken straight to your hotel or destination.

When we arrived in Penang on a FireFly flight, we took up the offer of a free bus into George Town, which was just a free ride on a local bus. When we arrived in town, we still got a taxi to take us to our hotel as we did not want to carry our bags across town.
